Will Kamal Nath's BJP Move Lead to Exodus

Will Kamal Nath’s BJP Move Lead to Exodus: There is the possibility that veteran leader Kamal Nath might switch BJP. Mr Nath has not yet chosen to join the BJP, but he has made it clear that if the senior politician takes the decision, he will follow suit. Party leaders are making efforts to communicate with MLAs, aiming to prevent the departure of veteran leader Kamal Nath from escalating into a widespread departure in the months leading up to the Lok Sabha polls.

It will be a major blow to the Congress after the Jyotiraditya Scindia-led rebellion toppled its government in 2020 if a sizable number of MLAs follow Mr. Nath into the BJP. Mr. Nath, incidentally, led the Congress administration at the time.

Amid a flurry of rumors that he would join the BJP, Mr. Nath and his son Nakul arrived in Delhi Friday afternoon. If the transition does place, it will come as a major shock to Congress just before the general election. This is especially true since the state in issue is Madhya Pradesh, which is in the heartland and is home to the BJP, which is a powerful force there and is hoping to build on its outstanding performance in the state elections last year.

Situation of Congress

The significant shift of MLAs to another party would not only undermine the strength of the Congress in Madhya Pradesh but also provide protection to the defectors from the provisions of the anti-defection law.

Former ministers Sajjan Singh Verma and Sukhdev Panse, along with MLAs Satish Singh Sikarwar, Sukhdev Panse, Sanjay Uikey, Nilesh Uikey, Sohan Valmiki, Vijay Chaure, Kamlesh Shah, and Lakhan Ghangoriya, are among those currently under scrutiny.

Situation of Top Political Leaders in India

Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Umang Singhar, and other top leaders are speaking to MLAs on one to hear out their grievances. The attention of the prominent current political figures is directed towards MLAs, former legislators, and Congress functionaries who are recognized for their close association with Mr. Nath and his son, MP Nakul Nath.

Sajjan Singh Verma Reviews ABOUT Mr. Nath

He said: “Mr Nath has not decided to join the BJP yet but made it amply clear that he will follow the veteran leader if he makes the big move,” further “Only three things matter in politics — Maan (pride), Samman (respect) and Swabhimaan (self-respect). When these are hurt, a leader is bound to make major decisions. As of now, Kamal Nath ji hasn’t decided to join BJP. Whatever is doing the rounds is pure speculation. If a towering leader who has dedicated over 40 years of his life to Congress doesn’t get the respect he deserves, he is bound to make major decisions. I have been his follower for four decades and will follow him.”
